• Slingshot hires new CEO

Slingshot-NW, Inc. is proud to announce they have hired Bryan Brown as their new CEO.  After graduating from Whitman College with a BA in Philosophy, Bryan did what all Philosophy majors do and quickly got involved in the technology industry of Seattle/Bellevue/Redmond and became a SQL database engineer. By 2001, he was ready to venture out on his own and co-founded a software company that created a platform for online communities that, at its peak, supported over seven million members. Through this start-up venture Bryan honed his entrepreneurial skills, becoming a results-driven executive committed to increasing value, from start-up through multi-million dollar revenue growth.

Foundational to Bryan’s entrepreneurial mindset is his lack of fear of getting into the trenches, from janitor to CEO, to get the necessary job done. He is experienced in highly technical projects such as migrating an entire physical datacenter into an off-site solution with managed hardware hosting virtualized servers. He has also fine-tuned his non-technical business skills by working on projects such as negotiating a strategic partnership with a European-based company involving complex, parallel U.S./E.U. legal contracts resulting in a reduction of operational expenses by over 50%.

In addition, Bryan is also experienced in new product and technology launches, e-commerce systems development, P&L management and budget planning as well as program and project management. Lastly, Bryan is skilled at making decisions that are aligned with the strategic objectives.

When Bryan isn’t working, he loves spending time with his wife and two teenagers. He also loves doing Crossfit, racing sailboats, riding adventure motorcycles and most other outdoor activities. He also volunteers his time as a strength and conditioning coach for the middle distance runners for the Cross Country and Track and Field teams of the local high school.

    Welcome aboard, Bryan!
